Transfer Stations
Kamiah Transfer Station Information
The transfer station is located two (2) miles south of Kamiah, Idaho at 3226 Highway 162. We are open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven (7) days a week. Closed major holidays.
Residents are allowed 2 pick-up loads per day for free. After you have reached your daily allowance, there will be a per ton charge.
Loads must be separated. A $50.00 clean-up fee will be charged if loads are not separated. Absolutely no climbing on or in roll-offs.

Loads must be separated into the following bins:
- Aluminum
- Metal
- Cardboard
- Household Garbage
- Brush & Boards
- Construction, demolition and sheetrock
- Leaves & Grass only
Specialty Items That We Accept:
- Used Oil
- Anit-freeze
- Paint
- Batteries (car & truck)
- Mattresses
- Furniture
- 4 regular tires (car or pick-up) per day for free.
Please contact us with hazardous waste for safe disposal.
Kooskia Pole Yard Drop Off Information
Hours:
1 level pickup load per day for free.
Items Allowed
- Household garbage (MSW)
- Grass, leaves, brush, boards (Non-MSW) (All Non-MSW must be cut to 4 ft or less in length)
- Regular car or pickup tires - 4 per day -free-
- Appliances (i.e. washers, dryers, etc. refrigerators & freezers must be clean of all food, all these items will be recycled) If it can not be cleaned, please bring to the Kamiah Transfer Station
- Furniture
Items Not Allowed Must Bring to Kamiah Transfer Station
- No semi-truck, tractor tires or concrete.
- No motor oils, anti-freeze, household chemicals, or paint.
All contractor businesses must come to the Kamiah Transfer Station

We gladly accept CLEAN, SORTED items from these categories:
Cardboard (all types)
Boxes, brown paper sacks, cereal and food boxes, beverage cases, cardboard tubes, etc. . . tape and staples are okay.
Boxes must be flattened
No wax-lined boxes, foil, or styrofoam.
Tin & Aluminum Cans
Please rinse cans and remove labels.
NO loose tin lids, aluminum foil, aerosol or pressurized containers, paint, hydrocarbon, fuel, pesticide, or herbicide containers.
Newspaper
Also, magazines, catalogs, paperback, and phone books. Remove plastic or twine before depositing papers.
